I just got my first Glossybox and I enjoyed the products I received. It is a bit more expensive ($21/month), but I did get my moneys worth! I’m not sure if I’m going to stay or cancel, but I’m gonna wait 3 more months and see if it is really worth it.

I got my first box yesterday and I LOVE IT!!! Samples are way bigger and in my opinion better than birchbox. I am keeping my birchbox as well because it is less expensive and I still enjoy it. This the May box was the first box to be sent to the US. I can’t say enough how amazing it is!

I like the products in glossybox, but do not like their method of shipping and paying for the box ahead of time. I received June box in July and in August I’ll receive julys box.

So far, I really like Glossybox. The products are high quality and the presentation is fantastic. I’m not 100% sure it’s worth the cost, though–it’s twice as expensive as Birchbox, and it doesn’t have twice the products in it. Still, I am enjoying getting it and will give it a few more months before I decide whether or not to keep it long term.

had to cancel this subscription service. The box is packaged beautiful, the products are nice. However, one of the products exploded in not just my box a lot of other peoples. Then there were issues with June boxes not being mailed out but charges for July boxes before anything shipped. Then on reading a Glossybox blog i found out some of their customers accounts were compromised > Glossybox did contact a few people about it according to the blog. I am glad I read what I did as I found out through the blog what to look for and my card had been compromised. I had to call up my credit card and cancel my card and have it replaced. Big hassle. I think the company is good they just have a few glitches to work out and work on customer service.

At $21 a box, I expect products that I enjoy and would want to use. I got two boxes and they were both beautifully packaged, but they didn’t have items that I fell in love with, so I had to cancel.

I signed up in July for Glossybox after hearing about all the hype. Yesterday I got the July box. The price of the box kinda had me sketchy at first. It is one of the more expensive subscription boxes out there. But I had seen the great reviews, so I went for it. First I will say that sign up was easy. When it came time for the boxes to be sent out, I got the email tracking info right away. As for the shipping time, it was pretty slow compared to other boxes. I got the July box in August :( . As for the packaging, it is by far the best. Super cute, the box is very sturdy and I will be reusing it for many things. Inside everything is wrapped cute, tied with a bow, tissue, and lil frilly papers. They put effort into presentation and it shows! As for the products and samples. I got 2 full size products, a dual lip gloss and a eyebrow pencil. They are full size, but I had 1 major problem with them. They are not sealed. There was no plastic wrap, box, etc. The lipgloss you could just twist off and use. And with the pencil you could just pull the cap off and use. Not very professional. As for the deluxe sized samples, they are true and deluxe size. Diverse brands which is great. Full size products are about $20 each, so not to bad if you want to purchase full size. I unsubscribed to Glossybox because I feel that for the price $21, I can spend it somewhere else and be happier with what I am getting for my hard earned money. I may revisit them again at another time!

I received my first glossybox in the beginning of August and I really liked it. I also subscribe to birchbox, but this one had me intrigued. In my first box I got a shampoo and conditioner that I have used 3 time so far and there is still plenty more to use, an eyeshadow pallate that is adorable and in nude colors and worth 22$ by itself, an organic lip and body balm worth 6$ which is a very neat and versitile product, a packet of perfume that I was not too jazzed about as it is on a towelette, and a foot balm which I have used for over a week every night. I love the sizes of the samples, you are able to use them more than just once so you can really formulate an opinion (something you can not do with a lot of products from birchbox) and the box it comes in is awesomely put together and of great quality so it can be reused. I did all my surveys and got my points and once you have 1000 points you can get a free box! (which is something birchbox does not do with the survey points you earn) It does ship a bit slow, as it is sent out at the end of the month and you don’t get your box until the beginning of the following month, but if you are patient it isn’t a problem. I received my box with in a week of them shipping it.

I love discovering international beauty products through Glossybox. It’s more expensive than some beauty subscription services, but I usually get double the value of what I paid in the box.

I just opened my glossy box and I was really happy. Inside the box were 5 deluxe samples I wasn’t sure of the brands but as I began to look up the products on the Internet I found out that they were not cheap. I spend a lot of money on beauty producs every month and this little box was really awesome the packaging is really nice. The only problem that I had was my sample lipstick was all smashed, but I emailed the company they apologized and said that they would send me a new one. It’s a little bit more than the other boxes but I like them and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

I have been with Glossy Box for 2 months now. First box came on time and had 5 great, large products in it, but now it is the last day of the 2nd month and still haven’t got my November box. They charged me for it 3 weeks ago and after that sent me 3 different tracking numbers before they sent me the right one. The box is great if it ever comes. Most of the products in it were full sized or travel sized, never any one time use packets. I like that.

If my glossybox had not been damaged in the mail, the presentation would have been beautiful. The products inside were disappointing for the December box. I received 3 deluxe sample sizes of epsom salts, shower oil, and hair heat protection. I received a full size Zoya nail polish and a necklace. I received two samples of a perfume and an oil. I find the website a bit misleading on what they provide in the box. They show many more samples than what you are given. I also thought there would be more makeup rather than jewelry and body products. I wanted to return my box and found out there is no customer service. I tried calling the number provided where no one takes my call and the mailbox is full. I was just disappointed with entire experience.

Was getting Birchbox for about 6 months. I got frustrated because I kept getting the same type and brand of samples. I switched to Glossybox and LOVE it. My first box came with a full size Zoya nail polish, a bracelet, and other goodies. It’s worth the additional 7 dollars. I’ll never go back to Birchbox!

For me, Gloosybox has been very hit & miss. I started out loving it, but then the products became less exciting & the customer service was a bit sub-par. That said, their December box was excellent & in January they are partnering with Man Repeller so I may be back.

I got my first Glossybox in December, and it was ok. They started hyping the Man Repeller themed box for January, and I ordered 2. Well now it’s over a month since I’ve been charged and no boxes. Their customer service is the worst I have ever encountered with a subscription box. They tweet and Facebook that the boxes were all shipped, but tracking won’t be available for a week. Then the next week, the boxes still aren’t shipped, and more empty promises. They tell you to email or call, but when you do you get no response. Many people are upset about January’s box, and were discussing it on the Glossybox Facebook page, including me. However, Glossybox has now deleted my posts and blocked me. Way to cover up the truth about your bad service!
Bottom line: I guess Glossybox is ok if you don’t care what month your boxes come, and if you can deal with non-existent customer service. I will not be recommending this one to my friends or Twitter/Facebook followers.

I loved my March box and was pretty satisfied UNTIL I had to deal with the GlossyBox Customer service team. The woman I spoke to was annoyed, and impatient with me, and was not interested in answering any of my questions. I ended up having to speak with her supervisor who was much nicer but that experience drastically changed my opinion of this company.

The other gripe I have is that they are very slow to ship. You will likely get your March box in April, April in May, and so on.

I love subscription boxes and I really wanted to love GlossyBox. The packaging is gorgeous (easily the best packaging I’ve come across, save for the pricey Mantry food box). I am just very underwhelmed with the contents. Sure, they are “nice” but there are never any products that I am truly going to use; I have literally consistently used and plan to buy ONE product I was introduced to from this box-a full-size lip balm that retails for less than five dollars. I did not get to buy any of the limited edition boxes (sold out), and those did have things I would use, so that was disappointing. I do see other people enjoying this box, but honestly, it’s just not worth it for me–sample after sample I could get free for simply asking, in most cases, and again, I would not bother to ask for most of these samples.

June was my first glossybox and there was drama with the Bondi nailpolish, but to be honest a nail polish is a nail polish to me. The main issue was the shipping delay, but I did get my box in June as promised. Once I got my box however I was pretty happy. I loved the box design, all the items in the box, and to top it off I received another box for free. I am sticking with their limited edition boxes though because I think they are more value worthy and fun because of the themes. Been enjoying Glossybox for 3 months now. May and June 2013 were fabulous. July was really good. I find that I use every product in the box. One nail color wasn’t my favorite ( a royal blue color) but when I tried it on, it went great with my jeans so I wear it on my toes. I like that the sample sizes are truly deluxe. Sometime even 1/2 the size of the original, not one or two use packets. I usually receive around 3 full size products, though in the July box it was only one. I did purchase the limited edition wedding box and enjoyed that as well…though it was a separate cost. Check out my videos on youtube under lizbetstyle. I not only show what is in the box, but have used them so I can tell you how the products perform. It looks like I’m the only one who has had great luck with customer service. They were quick and efficient when I used them.

I am currently subscribed to Glossybox and never have I experienced such a NIGHTMARE with trying to cancel a subscription service before being charged for a reoccurring subscription! I signed up for 3 months, and haven’t been very impressed/haven’t thought the products are worth it for the high price.. So when my last month came up I emailed the company to let them know I did not want to continue with another 3 month subscription. A week passed with NO response and I was sent an automated email letting me know that I would be charged for another 3 months on the 17th of September. I emailed them twice more to let them know I did not want to continue, it is now the 16th of September, still, with no response! I called the company today, only to be told by an automated message that no one was available to take my call and was then disconnected from the line. I sent yet another email, this time it was a little heated, and am not sure if I will receive a response at all.

I am disgusted with the customer service at this company – I have tried out many subscription services, and this is the only one that has treated me so poorly. If I am charged for another 3 months my bank account will overdraft, charging me a fee. I can only hope that I can take legal action against glossybox to pay for any fees I am charged for illegally charging my bank account after weeks of calls and emails telling them they are not authorized to do so.

You know I liked at least one item in every box however, I would agree birch box is more consistent. I have had a terrible time with their customer service. I got an email two days after signing up (it was my birthday present to myself) for a free nail polish for my birthday HOWEVER it was only good for new subscriptions. I figured mine counted as a new subscription. But No. Then I moved changed my address the first week of the month and box was still delivered to old address which meant I had to pay the extra shipping. When I called to ask why this happened I was told they need a whole months notice for address changes. That day I canceled my subscription and of course since august’s box (that box) didn’t show up until the 8th of august I got charged for septembers and declined a refund for a box that won’t get here for another two weeks. Absolutely bad business practices.

I am surprised that glossybox has such low ratings. I signed up for the six month subscription and have been overjoyed with the boxes! They are full of high quality, high end products that I otherwise would not have the opportunity to experience! I have not had to contact customer service (as all my boxes are great!), so I don’t have any opinion on this aspect. Overall, the boxes are beautifully packaged brimming with high end, high quality deluxe samples and full size products. I receive an e-mail notifying of the shipment of each box and receive them within four or five days. My monthly box around the middle of each month consistently. I am very pleased with this subscription and would recommend it to any woman who loves beauty products!

I just got my first box and am, so far, impressed. The items definitely paid for the price of the box. The packaging was perfect, the shipping was quick and I really like the items. These subscription boxes are sample boxes; there will always be products that you might not necessarily have gone out and purchased yourself but that’s half the fun of it. I do have to say, that in comparison to Wantable which is $36-$40 (depending on subscription), I am much happier with the items I got in my Glossybox.

I just wanted to give an update to my original review above: The shipping speed has become ridiculous. I am not sure if it is due to the holidays and an increased demand, but it is awful. They charge your card at the beginning of the month and don’t send the box until the end. I *fingers crossed* will receive mine finally today, if my tracking is correct. Last month, I didn’t receive it until the 26th and I know others who didn’t receive theirs until the beginnin of this month. So those poor souls got charged at the beginning of the month and didn’t receive their purchase for a month! This is really bad business practice and if this does not get resolved in a month or two, I am cancelling my subscription. These are great products (the US glossybox atleast, I have heard the UK boxes have been terrible lately), but this is just more than I will take from a business. I am a customer and I demand good customer service! Ok! Rant over. Buyer beware!

Hey!
I have been subscribed to Glossybox since November! So far the only box that I have entirely been pleased with was the December 2013 box, but I reckon that was due to it being Xmas and they wanted to spoil us a little.
I’ve heard some great things about the February 2014 box that should be on it’s way shortly. It has a Valentines theme and one of the products has been confirmed to be a Ciaté nail polish! Awesome!!
Can’t wait to receive it, however you’d think with it being Valentines theme they would at least try and get it to you before/on Valentines Day! It is now the 15th and the box hasn’t been dispatched!
Either way I look forward to receiving my box every month and theres always at least one item in there that I would use!

Worst shipping & customer service out of any subscription box! But don’t just take my word for it, as anyone can see from their many Facebook comment, shipping is a disaster & as for customer service, Glossybox takes no responsibility for their poor service & contradictory cookie cutter replies!

I have subscribed to Glossybox for about six months. The presentation is remarkable. The products are generally high quality. I have loved some months better than others, but have never been outright disappointed. One thing I do not like about this service is that they take your money the beginning of the month and don’t ship until the VERY end of the month. My money is deducted the first few days of any month, and I don’t receive my box until the last day or two of any month. This to me tells me this company is living “paycheck to paycheck”. All other sub. boxes I have ship within 1-2 weeks of debiting my account. If they debited my account on the 20th and didn’t ship till the 30th, that would be understandable. Debiting on the 2nd and not shipping until the 28th is a bad business practice.
